GARFIELD COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT
Montana Mesonet Weather Stations
“The Montana Mesonet is a part of a state-of-the-art hydro-meteorological monitoring network. Garfield County hosts three of these weather stations, with more to be installed this summer in 2025. These stations provide real-time drought and flood management data.”

Introduction
Report drought-related conditions and impacts within Montana. Information gathered from this survey is used to investigate drought trends and helps inform responses in times of drought. The questionnaire may be completed more than once to report impacts in another location or to report changing conditions. Regular submissions (e.g., monthly) are encouraged in order to track deteriorating or improving moisture conditions. Information on wet conditions is helpful too, so please submit reports anytime of year, wet or dry.
This is a Montana version of a nation-wide service called Condition Monitoring Observations and Reports (CMOR), provided by the National Drought Mitigation Center (NDMC). Reports submitted to the Montana version are automatically included in the national CMOR database. Please note that this form is not part of the process to apply for drought-related assistance. Questions? Please email the Montana State Library at geoinfo@mt.gov or the NDMC at DIRinfo@unl.edu.
Information submitted via this form appears on a map and becomes part of a permanent public record. See your mapped reports at https://nris.mt.gov/drought or https://go.unl.edu/cmor_drought.
